25 years ago governments made a promise to women and girls across the globe. They committed to tackling gender inequality and advancing women’s rights.
25 years later there has been some progress. Progress for some women, in some countries, for some rights. But women the world over are still denied their human rights, particularly those often the most marginalised by society.
2020 is a milestone year for women’s rights. Governments, UN representatives and activists are meeting throughout the year to review the current state of women’s rights across the world. Womankind Worldwide will be attending key UN events to demand action. This is an opportunity for us to send a clear message that we’ve had enough, now is time for action to make women’s rights a reality for #AllNotSome women.
